Throughout his illustrious career in the Government of India, he held pivotal roles in various ministries and institutions, including: OSD to the Railway Minister, Director, Ministry of Railways, Director, Satyajit Ray Film & Television Institute (SRFTI), Governing Council Member, FTII and IIMC, Director, Mumbai International Film Festival 2002, Regional Chief, Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC) Kolkata & Guwahati and General Manager, RITES. His contribution spans some of India’s most forward-looking infrastructure initiatives such as: Dedicated Freight Corridors of Indian Railways, Total Transport System Study for Planning Commission, Tourism Master Plans for Digha and Darjeeling, Exhibition on Wheels, a unique Indian Railways project.
